"The policy was actually easy to follow"
I booked through nationalcar.com and was surprised that the rental rules were easy to find. The details about the deposit, fuel, mileage, and adding an extra driver were all laid out clearly, and I also got the confirmation email/receipt with the main info, which made it easier to double-check.

I still read through everything twice because I like knowing what I’m agreeing to, but nothing felt buried or confusing. When I picked up the car, it matched what I saw online, so there weren’t any weird surprises.

I booked a car through National Car, and for the most part, everything matched up when I got to the counter. The pickup time and rate were correct, which was a relief, but the car class I chose wasn’t actually available. They gave me something similar, so it wasn’t a major issue, but it was still a little frustrating since I picked that class for a reason. I usually go with National because the Emerald Club is just simple. Being able to walk out and pick my own car is a nice perk, and the free days seem to build up faster than I expected. I’ve used points without any hassle too, which isn’t always the case with these kinds of programs. It’s not flashy, but it takes a lot of the usual rental car frustration out of the process...

I picked up my rental from National and overall had a good experience. The car was clean inside, didn’t have any strange smells, and drove smoothly the whole time I had it.
The only small thing was that I noticed a few scratches on the outside that didn’t seem to be marked down at first. It wasn’t a big deal though, I pointed them out to the staff and they noted it right away, so everything worked out fine.
